The Regal Mind Check: Terms of Purchase

The Regal Mind Check is provided by Regal Private Therapy Practice, registered in England and Wales, company number 16179937, 4 Devonshire Street, Marylebone, London W1W 5DT. These terms supplement our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which also apply.

What this service is

The Regal Mind Check is a screening, wellbeing and performance service comprising an online cognitive assessment, validated psychological screening measures and a personal profile questionnaire. It is not a diagnostic assessment. Screening measures may identify characteristics that warrant further exploration but cannot establish a diagnosis. Your results do not replace assessment by your GP or another healthcare professional.

Not an emergency service

Our communication channels are monitored during standard business hours only. If you are in crisis, call 999 or attend your nearest A&E, contact Samaritans on 116 123, or text SHOUT to 85258.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or over and have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a keyboard. The cognitive tasks cannot be completed reliably on a phone or tablet.

Buying for someone else

You may purchase on behalf of another adult, but they must complete the assessment themselves and consent to it. Their results are confidential to them and will not be shared with you.

How it works

The Regal Mind Check (£50) is paid for via our secure payment page. We will email your assessment link and Mind Profile within one working day of payment. Once you have completed both, we will send your results within two working days.

The Regal Mind Check + Psychologist Consultation (£200) is booked and paid for through our online diary. We will email your assessment link and Mind Profile once your booking is confirmed. Please complete both at least [two working days] before your consultation so your psychologist has time to review your results.

Your right to cancel and refunds

Because you are purchasing online, you have a right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Before your assessment link is issued, you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund. Email info@regalprivatetherapypractice.co.uk.

After your assessment link is issued. When purchasing, you asked us to begin the service immediately and acknowledged that you would lose your right to cancel once it has been performed. Your assessment credit is allocated to you at that point and is non-refundable.

Consultations may be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice, in line with Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions, and the £150 consultation element will be refunded. With less notice, or if you do not attend, the consultation is charged in full. Your assessment results remain available to you.

Technical problems. If a technical fault prevents you from completing your assessment, contact us and we will reissue your link or refund you in full.

Completing your assessment. Assessments must be completed within 30 days of your link being issued, and before your Clinical Psychologist consultation. If you cannot meet this deadline, contact us before it passes and we will discuss your options.

Your responsibilities

Complete the assessment in a quiet environment, without assistance or interruption, and answer honestly. Results completed otherwise may not be valid, and we cannot reissue an assessment on that basis.

Clinical review and confidentiality

Your results are reviewed by an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist. In the limited circumstances set out in Section 7 of our Terms and Conditions, including where you have given us reason to believe you intend to take your life or seriously injure yourself, we may need to share information without your consent. Where possible, we will inform you first and share only what is strictly relevant.

Your data

Regal Private Therapy Practice is the Data Controller. We collect your name, contact details and date of birth, your Mind Profile responses, and your assessment and screening results. Your assessment results and screening responses are health data, processed under Article 9(2)(h) UK GDPR for the provision of healthcare.

Payments for the Mind Check are processed by Stripe and bookings for the consultation option by Semble; we never see or store your card details. Your assessment is hosted by Creyos, our assessment provider. A Data Processing Agreement is in place with each. Records are retained for seven years in line with HCPC and BPS guidance. Complaints

Please raise concerns in writing to info@regalprivatetherapypractice.co.uk. We acknowledge complaints within 5 working days and aim to respond in full within 28 days. You may also escalate to the HCPC (hcpc-uk.org) or BPS (bps.org.uk).

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
