Psychological therapy fees
Therapy is charged per session and there is no minimum number of sessions you have to commit to. How many you need depends on what you are working on, and your Clinical Psychologist will talk that through with you at the initial assessment rather than leaving you to guess.
| Service | Session length | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Adult Psychological Therapy | 50 minutes | £210 |
| Child and Adolescent Psychological Therapy | 50 minutes | £210 |
| EMDR / CBT-TF extended session | 90 minutes | £380 |
| Parent Consultation and Support | 50 minutes | £210 |
What the therapy fee covers
The fee covers a 50 minute appointment with a Clinical Psychologist. Therapy is individually formulated around your difficulties, your circumstances and your goals, and depending on clinical need it may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Behavioural Activation, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and EMDR.
The same fee applies whatever you are coming to therapy for, whether that is anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, difficulties with eating, burnout or low self-esteem. What We Help With sets out the full range, including support alongside ADHD and support for autistic children, young people and adults.
Plenty of people arrive without a diagnosis, or with difficulties that do not fit neatly into any one category. That is not a problem, and it does not make your difficulties any less worth taking seriously.
Letters and reports
Letters requested outside routine clinical correspondence are charged separately. More substantial reports, documentation or liaison that requires additional clinical time is quoted according to the nature and complexity of the request, and we will always tell you the cost before we begin.
